CMG Training

The Colorado Master Gardener/Colorado Gardener Certificate training is offered on a multi-county basis for counties along the Front Range corridor.  Weld County, Larimer County, Adams County, and Boulder County complete training together.

There are 2 options for classes within each calendar year.  The primary training to become a CMG occurs on Fridays from January through March during the day.  For those who cannot attend the spring training during the day, we are offering evening classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the fall.

The typical basic curriculum includes 13 weeks (60 hours) of classroom instruction in the spring.  Classes are held each Friday, January through March, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an hour for lunch.

Applications for the spring 2017 daytime class are now being accepted and are due October 28, 2017.  If you have questions about the spring training classes or would like to receive an application, contact Amy Lentz at 970-400-2073 or  You can also access the application by clicking on the following link Weld County CMG and CGC Applications.

(The fall evening classes occur on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning in September going through December.  Applications for the 2016 evening class have already closed.  Applications for the 2017 fall evening class will be accepted in August 2017.)
