The Grow & Give program is up and running for the growing season! This is a voluntary program sponsored by CSU Extension and is open to anyone who wants to participate. If you were able to grow more veggies than you can eat within your household, you can donate them through the Grow & Give program. You can register your home or community garden and start reporting your produce donations on the Grow & Give website. The website has information on how to grow vegetables and help you know where to donate locally. The website also has a link to a reporting system where you can report your past and future donations. The goal of this program is to gather data statewide of how much produce people are growing for donation to neighbors, local food banks, shelters, etc. Last year, over 500 home and community gardens participated across the state and more than 47,000 pounds of produce donated!
If you’d like to join in on this amazing effort, there are lots of resources available to you through the Grow & Give website.
